Ivan Flores, known professionally as Niño Hamburguesa and currently Burger Boy, is a Mexican professional wrestler born on January 30, 1996, in Ciudad Nezahualcóyotl. Standing as a prominent figure in Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA) with significant appearances in WWE, he has built a career defined by his unique "Hamburger Kid" persona. This character emphasizes high-energy performance and a distinct aesthetic that blends playfulness with aggression, fitting perfectly within the theatrical nature of lucha libre. His current work involves balancing his legacy as a former champion with ongoing storylines following a turbulent period in 2026. Despite a recent release from major promotions due to a viral incident, his return to AAA at Triplemanía 34 highlights his resilience and continued relevance in the industry. He remains a recognizable figure whose specific physical traits and ring style distinguish him from other competitors.[edit]

Before stepping into the spotlight as a global wrestling personality, Ivan Flores grew up in Ciudad Nezahualcóyotl, a bustling city in the State of Mexico known for producing many lucha libre talents. Born on January 30, 1996, his birth sign is Sagittarius. His interest in professional wrestling sparked during his childhood, leading him to seek out local training schools where he could learn the fundamentals of the sport. The rigorous environment of Mexican lucha libre academies shaped his early development, teaching him high-flying maneuvers and character work essential for the ring. During the early 2010s, he began his journey on the independent circuit, honing his skills in a demanding atmosphere.

Flores spent years refining his craft before gaining widespread recognition. During these formative years, he adopted various ring names such as Tonina Cirio and Pequeno Dollar to test different styles across independent promotions. These early stints allowed him to refine his physical abilities and understand the nuances of crowd interaction. By around 2015-2016, the moniker "Niño Hamburguesa" became his primary vehicle, a gimmick that resonated deeply with fans due to its novelty and his authentic embodiment of an energetic, food-themed character. He eventually joined AAA around 2017, establishing himself as a regular competitor before his major international breakthrough.[edit]

Flores's breakthrough arrived when he solidified his identity as Niño Hamburguesa, becoming a staple in the Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide roster. A defining moment in his career occurred in 2021 when he won the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship alongside Big Mami, cementing his status as a top-tier talent in the promotion. This title reign showcased his ability to perform in tag team dynamics and elevated his profile significantly within the Mexican wrestling scene. His success expanded internationally through affiliations with major US promotions, culminating in a signing with WWE.

In August 2025, he competed at Triplemanía XXXIII, teaming with Mr. Iguana and Lola Vice against The Judgment Day. This match marked one of his most visible moments in the American market, showcasing his skills alongside established WWE superstars. However, his tenure faced a dramatic turning point in March 2026 when he was released by AAA and subsequently WWE following an altercation at an independent show where he struck a spectator. Reports indicate this involved elbowing or striking a fan, violating company safety policies. Despite this setback, Flores demonstrated his continued activity by appearing for The Crash Lucha Libre shortly after his firing.

In a surprising twist later in 2026, he returned to AAA at Triplemanía 34 on September 14, 2026. This appearance, part of the Copa Bardahl event, featured him participating in matches alongside stars like El Mesías and Omos, signaling a reconciliation or new contract agreement with the promotion. This event marked a new chapter in his career, transitioning his persona to sometimes being referred to as Burger Boy while maintaining his core identity.[edit]

Flores is portrayed as a high-energy, somewhat chaotic character whose "Hamburger Kid" persona blends playfulness with aggression. This aesthetic fits perfectly within the colorful and theatrical nature of lucha libre. Media coverage initially focused on positive reviews of his in-ring skills and unique gimmick, but shifted to scrutiny following the 2026 fan incident. Despite the negative publicity surrounding his release, his return to AAA suggests that promoters value his drawing power and connection with the audience. He is often described as having a distinct character weight class, though promotional materials occasionally cite exaggerated figures like "130 kilos de poder y placer" (130 kilos of power and pleasure) which may be a specific storyline element rather than a literal measurement. His public image balances the nostalgia of his early indie days with the drama of his recent high-profile controversies.[edit]
