Nikolaj Coster-Waldau's career is marked by rare achievements for a Danish actor. He is one of the few Scandinavian actors to achieve global stardom through a television role, and his portrayal of Jaime Lannister is widely considered one of the greatest character arcs in TV history. Rolling Stone ranked his performance #34 on its list of the 100 Greatest TV Performances of All Time. He has won five Screen Actors Guild Awards as part of an ensemble, more than most actors in a single series. In Denmark, he was knighted by the Queen and received a Robert Honorary Award. His work as a UNDP Goodwill Ambassador earned him the Global Citizen Prize and honorary citizenship of Greenland.
