Neneh Cherry's career has been marked by critical and commercial success. Her debut album Raw Like Sushi was a groundbreaking fusion of pop and hip-hop, and its lead single "Buffalo Stance" became an anthem of the late 1980s. Her collaboration with Youssou N'Dour on "7 Seconds" showcased her ability to cross cultural boundaries and topped charts across Europe.Cherry has been praised for her bold artistic choices and has influenced a generation of musicians. Her later albums, particularly Blank Project and Broken Politics, received widespread critical acclaim, cementing her status as a respected elder stateswoman of alternative music.
