Atlas has been a pioneering figure in electro-Arabic music for over three decades. Her ability to blend Arabic scales with Western electronic beats has earned her critical acclaim and a devoted international following. She has released eight solo albums, each exploring new sonic territory, from the tribute Halim to the politically charged Mounqaliba and the jazz-inflected Strange Days. Her 1999 cover of "Mon amie la rose" reached number 16 on the French Singles Chart, a rare crossover success for a world music artist. Her latest collaboration with Samy Bishai, Parallel Universe – Volume 1, continues to push her sound forward.
