Miya Nakamura stands at the door of the Kounokura estate with her heart pounding, convinced she is about to enter a fairy tale nightmare. She expects a wicked stepmother and jealous stepsisters who will force her into servitude, yet she finds herself embraced by a family that offers nothing but kindness. The narrative thrives on this gap between Miya's internal panic and the external reality of warm meals and gentle encouragement.

Written and illustrated by Otsuji, the manga launched serialization on November 19, 2020, within the Comic Pool imprint on Pixiv Comic. Ichijinsha handles the Japanese publication while Seven Seas Entertainment brings the series to English-speaking audiences starting May 2, 2023. By 2026, the publisher has released nine volumes in Japan and eight in North America.

The story expands beyond domestic comedy as Miya navigates social anxiety and encounters external threats like her precocious cousin and the Four Heavenly Queens. An anime adaptation produced by Newon aired from July to September 2026, directed by Keisuke Inoue with music composed by Rina Tayama. [edit]
