Twitches

Two sisters separated at birth share a birthday and a secret destiny in the Disney Channel original movie Twitches. When Camryn Barnes and Alex Fielding cross paths on their twenty-first birthday, they uncover a magical lineage that changes everything. Tia Mowry plays the spirited Alex while her real-life sister Tamera Mowry-Housley portrays the more serious Camryn. The film blends comedy with fantasy elements as the duo learns to control their powers against a looming threat. Director Stuart Gillard guides this family-friendly adventure with a budget of $20 million, creating a world where magic feels tangible yet grounded in sibling dynamics. Released in October 2005, the movie sits comfortably within the PG rating category and runs for just over an hour and a half. Critics and audiences responded well enough to earn it a solid 6.7 out of 10 from hundreds of viewers. This story launched a small franchise focused on twin witches protecting their realm.[edit]
