April X

In a near-future city where the shadows of a post-Soviet past stretch over neon-lit streets, a brother named Baxter faces a nightmare that shatters his reality. When his twin sister April vanishes without a trace, he plunges into a violent underworld to find her. The story transforms from a simple search into a psychological descent where identity blurs and madness takes hold. Michel K. Parandi directs this intense blend of action, science fiction, and drama alongside writer Jack Coulton. Connor Storrie anchors the film as Baxter, while Lilly Krug plays the missing April. Tudor Chirilă brings menace as Tetris, supported by Șerban Pavlu and Marius Chivu in key supporting roles. Produced by Lavi Star and Redflyingfox with Ahoy Associates Entertainment handling US distribution, the project mixes American and Romanian talent to create a gritty atmosphere. The film explores themes of fraternal bonds and the cost of survival in a dystopian setting. With its tight runtime and high-concept premise, April X aims to unsettle audiences rather than just entertain them. Early viewer feedback suggests a strong emotional impact, though the film remains a niche release for thriller fans seeking something darker.[edit]
