More Than a Married Couple, But Not Lovers

Yūki Kanamaru crafted a story about two neighbors who pretend to be dating to avoid family pressure, only to discover they actually live together as married partners without the legal title. This premise drives the narrative in More Than a Married Couple, But Not Lovers, a series that blends romantic comedy with slice-of-life elements. The work originally ran in Kadokawa Shoten's Young Ace magazine starting in March 2018. Readers followed the duo's antics across thirteen collected volumes released by March 2025. The book format captures their daily interactions and the slow-burn development of their relationship before the screen adaptation arrived.[edit]
