Moonlit Floor

Lisa released "Moonlit Floor" on October 3, 2024, as the third single from her debut solo album Alter Ego. The song arrived via her own label Lloud and RCA Records, following the global success of "Rockstar" and "New Woman" with Rosalía. A nu-disco and dance-pop track, it samples the chorus from Sixpence None the Richer's 1997 hit "Kiss Me," rewriting the iconic line to reference Paris and a moonlit floor.

The song was created at Chalice Studios in Los Angeles. Producer Rykeyz started playing a Roland Juno-106, and songwriter Jessie Reyez began writing immediately. When they needed something extra for the chorus, Rykeyz jokingly sang "Kiss Me." Reyez flipped the lyric, and Matt Slocum, the original writer of "Kiss Me," is credited as a co-writer. The track runs 2 minutes and 35 seconds.

Lyrics describe a romance with a green-eyed French boy, widely believed to be Frédéric Arnault, the CEO of LVMH Watches. Lisa debuted the song live at the Global Citizens Festival in New York on September 28, 2024, days before the official release. The performance video on YouTube has surpassed 41 million views. [edit]
