MONSTA X was formed in Seoul, South Korea, in December 2014 through the Mnet survival show NO.MERCY, a joint project between Mnet and their agency, Starship Entertainment. The program, which aired from December 2014 to February 2015, featured 13 Starship Entertainment trainees who underwent intense training and competed in various missions, vying for a coveted spot in the final debut lineup. The show meticulously documented the rigorous competition, offering fans a behind-the-scenes look at the challenging journey to group formation.
