About
Miranda Devine is a conservative Australian-American columnist and writer who was born in New York City in 1960 and now lives there again after building her career in Sydney. She spent years as a voice on 2GB, hosting The Miranda Devine Show until it wrapped in 2015, and her columns have run in Fairfax Media papers including The Sydney Morning Herald and The Sun-Herald as well as News Limited titles like the Daily Telegraph, Sunday Telegraph, Melbourne's Sunday Herald Sun, and Perth's Sunday Times. Since 2022 she has written for the New York Post. Her political opinion pieces on the environment, race, and social issues have drawn criticism for misrepresenting facts and for what detractors call ragebait journalism, including a comparison of the marriage equality campaign to the tactics of ISIS and her use of the phrase 'the China Virus' during the COVID-19 pandemic.
