Mikko Koivu's career is defined by consistency and leadership. He holds every major franchise record for the Minnesota Wild, including games played (1,028), assists (504), and points (709). His eleven-year captaincy is the longest in team history, and he is the only player to have his jersey retired by the franchise. Internationally, he captained Finland to a World Championship gold in 2011, a highlight for Finnish hockey.
