About
Miki Yoshikawa was born on October 2, 1982, in Japan. She built a career as a manga artist known for mixing supernatural elements with high school romances. Her journey began after assisting Hiro Mashima on Rave Master and Fairy Tail, where she learned the ropes of serialized storytelling. Her debut one-shot, Glory Days, appeared in Kodansha's Magazine Special before she launched her first major work in 2005. That year, she introduced readers to the chaotic world of Flunk Punk Rumble in Shonen Magazine Wonder. The concept proved so popular that it expanded into a short series and eventually ran in Weekly Shōnen Magazine from 2006 through 2011. This long-running run accumulated 211 chapters filled with slapstick humor and student life antics. Yoshikawa shifted gears in 2012 with Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches. This series quickly gained traction by combining body-swapping magic with romantic comedy tropes. It sold over 3 million copies and spawned both a live-action drama and a TV anime adaptation. The success led to an invitation to Anime Expo in 2015, where she met fans directly. Her later work, A Couple of Cuckoos, continued this trend of pairing unconventional relationships with comedic situations. Across her career, she has delivered multiple successful series that translate well into other media formats. Yoshikawa remains active in the industry, creating stories that resonate with young adults looking for lighthearted yet engaging narratives.
