Mike Maignan has achieved remarkable success in a relatively short span. He is the only goalkeeper to have won both Ligue 1 Goalkeeper of the Year and Serie A Best Goalkeeper in consecutive seasons. His clean sheet record during Lille's 2020–21 title run was the best in Europe's top five leagues. He has captained AC Milan and been a key figure for France, earning a Ballon d'Or nomination in 2022.
