Michael Owen's career is studded with historic firsts. He remains the youngest player to reach 100 Premier League goals, a record that still stands. He is the only English footballer to have scored in four consecutive major international tournaments (1998 World Cup, Euro 2000, 2002 World Cup, Euro 2004). His 2001 Ballon d'Or win ended a 22-year drought for English players and marked him as the best player in Europe at just 21. Being named in Pelé's FIFA 100 in 2004 placed him among the game's all-time greats.
