Michael Laudrup's career is defined by a unique achievement: winning five consecutive La Liga titles with two rival clubs, Barcelona and Real Madrid. He was knighted with the Order of the Dannebrog in 2000, named to the FIFA 100 in 2004, and declared the greatest Danish footballer of all time by the Danish Football Union in 2006. In 2021, a national poll voted him the greatest Danish sports star ever.
