Mel Maia

Mel Maia has been a working actress since childhood and is one of the most recognizable young faces on Brazilian television. While her trophy cabinet is not well documented in English-language sources, her longevity in a competitive industry and her successful transition from child star to adult actress are achievements in themselves. Her role in Avenida Brasil remains a cultural touchstone in Brazil.
