Mei Melançon

While Mei Melançon may not have a shelf full of trophies, her career is marked by notable achievements. She broke into the industry during a time when Asian-American actresses had limited opportunities, and she carved out a space for herself in both blockbuster and independent cinema. Her role as Psylocke in X-Men: The Last Stand was a milestone for representation, even if the character was underused. Her ongoing work as a screenwriter and producer, particularly with Fallen 8, shows a commitment to expanding the kinds of stories told on screen.
