Medikal has been a dominant figure in Ghanaian hip hop, earning multiple industry awards and nominations. He tied with Sarkodie for the most nominations at the Ghana Music Awards in 2017, a significant achievement for a relatively new artist. In 2021, he won both Hiplife/Hiphop Act of the Year at the 3Music Awards and Hiplife/Hiphop Artist of the Year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, cementing his status as a top-tier rapper. He also made history as one of the few Ghanaian rappers to headline a concert at the O2 Indigo in London.
