Maximiliano Gutiérrez

Maximiliano José Gutiérrez Jara is a Chilean professional footballer born on May 3, 2004, in the commune of Chiguayante. Known widely as Maxi Gutiérrez, he currently plays as a dynamic right winger for Dynamo Moscow in the Russian Premier League. His rapid ascent from local youth setups to European football has made him one of the most watched young talents from Chile in recent years.

Gutiérrez operates primarily on the right flank but possesses the versatility to fill defensive roles as a right-back or left-back when required. His career trajectory is defined by speed and technical agility, traits that allowed him to transition from a defender in his youth to a prolific attacker. As of 2026, he stands as a key figure for both his club and the Chilean national team following a breakout international tour. [edit]

Maximiliano was born into an industrial setting in Chiguayante, a commune within the Biobío Region near Concepción. Unlike many peers who entered major national academies immediately, he spent his early childhood honing his skills in local youth setups where he developed a foundational love for the game. His initial path on the pitch was quite different from his current reputation; sources indicate he began his senior development at Huachipato playing as a left-back and even as a libero in a three-man defense system.

This defensive background provided him with a unique understanding of space and timing. During his time in the Huachipato youth academy between 2019 and 2021, coaches noticed his natural acceleration and technical ability. He eventually pivoted from the backline to the wing, a move that allowed him to leverage his dribbling skills more effectively. By 2022, he had made his senior debut for Huachipato, though he still frequently deployed as a defender while showcasing his growing attacking potential in training matches. [edit]

Gutiérrez's professional rise accelerated quickly after his breakthrough in the Chilean Primera División. Following consistent performances for Huachipato through 2023 and 2024, he attracted attention beyond South America. In 2025, he moved to Club Atlético Independiente de Avellaneda in Argentina, marking his first significant step outside his home country. His direct style of play and goal-scoring ability secured him a starting position almost immediately.

The pinnacle of his early career arrived in early 2026 when he completed a high-profile transfer to Dynamo Moscow for a reported fee of €7 million, with add-ons potentially pushing the total to €10 million. This deal established him as one of the most expensive Chilean exports to the Russian Premier League in recent history. Shortly after joining the Russian club, he represented the Chilean national team during the FIFA international windows. He scored two goals in friendly matches against international opponents during a tour of North America, solidifying his status as a vital asset for La Roja. [edit]

Gutiérrez projects the image of a humble, hardworking talent who avoids controversy. His social media presence is characterized by behind-the-scenes content from training camps and match days rather than personal lifestyle displays. Fans and media alike view him as a player who prioritizes performance on the pitch above all else. His playing style, marked by explosive pace and directness, reinforces a persona of efficiency and determination. [edit]

As of October 2026, iFANN has not yet collected fame data for this person, so he does not hold a published placement in the Global Fame Rankings. He is also not on the September 2026 iFAMOUS Rankings flagship list.

His fanbase is active primarily within Chile and Argentina, where supporters follow his journey from local youth setups to European stardom. While there is no formal name for his fandom, fans refer to him affectionately as El Mágico in social media discussions. Clips of his highlights, particularly his goals for the national team and his dribbling skills, garner thousands of views on platforms like Instagram and TikTok. A strong grassroots movement of young fans aspires to emulate his journey, viewing his rapid adaptation to different leagues as a blueprint for success. [edit]

Despite his current reputation as a flashy winger, Maximiliano once played as a libero in a youth tournament, a rare defensive position that gave him a distinct tactical advantage over his peers. One of the most retold stories about his career involves a youth match where he scored four goals while playing out of position as a full-back. This performance prompted scouts to immediately reassign him to the wing, a decision that shaped his entire professional identity.

He is often referred to affectionately by fans as El Mágico, a nickname reflecting his ability to create chances from tight spaces. While he has not yet won major individual trophies, his rapid progression from a youth defender to a European striker is frequently cited in Chilean sports media as a model of modern talent development. His transition from the backline to the attack remains a unique case study in positional evolution. [edit]

Maximiliano grew up in Chiguayante, a city known for its industrial history, where football served as a primary focus from a young age. Details regarding his parents and siblings remain private, as he has chosen to keep his family life out of the public eye. There are no publicly acknowledged children or extended family members featured in media reports. His household appears focused on supporting his athletic career rather than seeking celebrity status. As a 22-year-old athlete whose career has been rapidly ascending, Maximiliano Gutiérrez maintains a relatively private personal life compared to veteran stars. There are no widely publicized records of marriages, engagements, or long-term romantic relationships confirmed by credible media outlets as of mid-2026. Given his age and the intensity of his professional schedule, moving from Chile to Argentina and then to Russia within a short span, it is highly probable that he is currently single.

No children have been publicly acknowledged. The lack of tabloid coverage regarding his dating life suggests he prioritizes his career development over public relationship disclosures, a common trait among young players focusing on establishing themselves in top-tier leagues. As of 2026, he remains unmarried and unattached to any public partner. [edit]

research by the iFANN Editorial Team puts Maximiliano Gutiérrez's fortune at around $2 Million as of 2026. His income is primarily derived from his football salary at Dynamo Moscow, a lucrative signing bonus associated with his €7 million transfer fee, and modest endorsement deals with regional sponsors.

Unlike veteran stars, he does not currently have major real estate holdings or diversified business ventures listed in public records. A significant portion of his earnings likely goes toward agent fees and training costs typical for a player of his age and career stage. His financial trajectory is expected to grow rapidly as he establishes himself as a long-term fixture in the Russian Premier League. [edit]
