Max Blumenthal

Blumenthal's record rests on a small number of high-profile achievements rather than a long list of prizes. His first book reached both the New York Times and Los Angeles Times bestseller lists, an unusual outcome for a freelance reporter's debut. His third book, Goliath, won the 2014 Lannan Foundation Cultural Freedom Award for an Especially Notable Book, the only major award on his record.
