Mathieu Flamini's honours split neatly into two columns, and the second one is the reason people still write about him. On the pitch he won six major trophies across France, England and Italy, including the 2011 Serie A title with Milan and two FA Cups in his second Arsenal spell. His 2007-08 season at Arsenal, alongside Cesc Fàbregas, is still remembered as the year an unglamorous ball-winner quietly became one of the best midfielders in the Premier League. Off the pitch, the recognition is of a different order: World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, Financial Times and Politico profiles, and a place on every off-pitch football rich list published in 2026.
