Mash Burnedead cannot cast a single spell. In a world where magic determines social rank and survival, that makes him a target for execution. His solution: brute force. Mash enrolls at Easton Magic Academy, the realm's most elite wizarding school, with the goal of becoming a Divine Visionary, the top student who earns protection from the ruler himself. He has no magic, but he does have a body turned into a weapon by years of training with dumbbells and extreme conditioning. He dodges spells by reading their trajectories, shatters magical barriers with his fists, and eats cream puffs with a deadpan expression while his classmates panic.

Hajime Komoto's series ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from January 2020 to July 2023, collected into 18 volumes. The manga is a deliberate parody of magical school stories, especially the Harry Potter template, but it never winks too hard. The action is played straight, with Komoto's clean linework making each punch and dodge land with satisfying weight. The joke of muscles versus magic holds because the fight choreography keeps inventing new ways for Mash to apply physics to sorcery. A-1 Pictures adapted the manga into two anime seasons, with the first airing in spring 2023 and the second in early 2024. A third season is set for January 2027.[edit]
