Records

Marta Minujín's career is marked by several historic firsts. She is credited with introducing happenings, performance art, soft sculpture, and video to Latin America. Her El Partenón de Libros installations have used tens of thousands of banned books, turning censorship into a global statement. She has exhibited at documenta 14 and major institutions worldwide, and her work is in the permanent collections of the Guggenheim and MoMA. These achievements place her among the most influential conceptual artists of her generation.

AwardsMinujín received the Konex Platinum Award (Diamond Konex) for Visual Arts in Argentina in 2019 and a Gold Medal from the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid in 2016. She has been honored with major retrospectives at the Jewish Museum and exhibitions at documenta 14, the Guggenheim, and MoMA.
