Marie-José Pérec’s list of achievements is extraordinary. She is the only woman to win the Olympic 400 meters twice, a feat that places her among the all-time greats. Her 200/400 double at the 1996 Atlanta Games is a rare accomplishment, achieved by only one other runner in history.
