Marcel Grossmann's greatest accolade is the enduring recognition of his role in birthing general relativity. The Marcel Grossmann Meetings, held since 1975, and the Marcel Grossmann Awards honor researchers in gravitation. His name appears in every history of modern physics. Einstein's dedication of his 1905 thesis to Grossmann remains a singular honor.
