Records
Manuela Maleeva's career is defined by remarkable consistency and historic achievements. She is one of only a few players to finish nine consecutive years in the top 10, from 1984 to 1992. Her Olympic bronze in 1988 remains Bulgaria's only tennis medal, a feat that has never been matched. She also helped Switzerland win its first Hopman Cup in 1992. Her 19 WTA singles titles and two US Open semifinal appearances cement her as one of the most reliable players of her era.
