The record is the thing. Six AVN Male Performer of the Year awards, more than any other man in the history of the business, and a career total of over 64 industry awards that no male peer approaches. Dual induction into the AVN and XRCO Halls of Fame followed, and a filmography past 800 titles gives the numbers a body of work behind them. What makes Ferrara's record unusual is not just the peak but the length of it: he has stayed at the top of a category that turns over quickly, and he did it while building a second career as a director. Very few performers in any era of the industry have combined that volume of work with that level of recognition, and none has done it on the male side.
