Superman

Kal-El was born on the planet Krypton to scientist Jor-El and his wife Lara. Jor-El discovered that Krypton was about to be destroyed, but the Kryptonian Council dismissed his warnings. He built a small spaceship and sent his infant son to Earth moments before the planet exploded. The ship landed in a cornfield near Smallville, Kansas, where it was discovered by Jonathan and Martha Kent. The childless couple adopted the baby, named him Clark Kent, and raised him with strong values of honesty, hard work, and compassion.

As Clark grew up, he discovered he possessed extraordinary abilities under Earth's yellow sun, including super strength, speed, flight, and near-invulnerability.
