Lucas Chiche

Lucas Chiche was four when the piano started, six when the Geneva Conservatory took him in, and ten when French television put him in the Prodiges final — where cellist Gautier Capuçon praised him from the jury (Classic FM). Born in Geneva in 2011, the Swiss pianist stacked a Classic FM Rising Star nod in 2025, a Verbier Festival selection, and the 2026 Arkady Fomin Scholarship, then carried a 2026 calendar across Paris, Geneva, and Chicago (The Violin Channel). He also founded Fortissimo, his own musical organization (Official site).[edit]

Born September 7, 2011, in Geneva, Switzerland, to a Russian singer mother; the household blended Swiss and Russian musical traditions (Official site). Piano lessons began at four with Professor Evgenia Pilyavina; at six he entered the Geneva Conservatory of Music, later adding the Musimax program for gifted children (Classic FM). He studied at the conservatory through 2022. The Prodiges Season 9 run that year — Christmas final, Rossini's "La gazza ladra" — introduced him to French and Swiss television audiences.[edit]

Prodiges opened the professional door. In 2025 Classic FM named him among "30 incredible musicians under 30" and he was selected for the Verbier Festival (Classic FM); a Paris street-performance clip the same year spread widely online. The 2026 season: Salle Gaveau in Paris (February 1), PianoForte in Chicago (March 28), Victoria Hall in Geneva (May 26), and a featured "Wunderkind" turn opening the North Shore Chamber Music Festival in June (The Violin Channel, Chicago Classical Review). The Violin Channel also notes his 2026 Arkady Fomin Scholarship.[edit]

Billed as wunderkind and prodigy — the North Shore opener was literally titled "Wunderkind!!!" (The Violin Channel). Coverage alternates between awe at the technique and debate about children in the spotlight. His channels stay professional: dates, halls, clips.[edit]
