Love Unseen Beneath the Clear Night Sky

Love Unseen Beneath the Clear Night Sky is a Japanese light novel series written by Nanigashi Shima and illustrated by raemz. The story follows Kakeru Mano, a university student in Tokyo who has lost his zest for life. One April night, he meets Koharu Fuyutsuki, a vibrant young woman who is blind but lives with remarkable determination. She attends university, participates in clubs, and dreams of launching fireworks one day—a spectacle she will never see. Kakeru is drawn to her resilience, and their relationship helps him rediscover purpose and hope.

The series won the grand prize at the 15th GA Bunko Award, leading to its publication by SB Creative under the GA Bunko imprint in August 2023. It has been praised for its positive portrayal of disability and placed third in the Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! 2024 guidebook. Two volumes have been released in Japan as of August 2024, with a third related novel titled Yoru ga Aketara Asa ga Kuru.

A manga adaptation illustrated by Hat began serialization on Square Enix's Manga Up! service in August 2024 and has been compiled into one tankōbon volume. A live-action television drama aired from December 2025 to February 2026 on MBS and other stations, starring Riko Nagase and Taiyu Fujiwara. An anime television series produced by Makaria is scheduled to premiere on July 6, 2026. [edit]
