Lou Reed is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in rock music. The Velvet Underground's debut album, The Velvet Underground & Nico, ranked No. 13 on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time in 2020. Reed's solo album Transformer is considered a glam rock masterpiece. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, a rare honor that reflects his impact as both a band member and a solo artist. His songs "Walk on the Wild Side" and "Heroin" are included on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.
