Los Angeles Rams

The franchise began in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1936 before moving to Los Angeles the following year. This relocation made the team the first major professional sports organization to establish a permanent base on the West Coast. The club spent nearly half a century in California until 1994, then relocated to St. Louis for twenty-one years before returning to Southern California in 2016.

Current operations center at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, a venue shared with the Los Angeles Chargers. The team manages its daily business from Rams Village in Warner Center. On the field, head coach Sean McVay has directed the squad since 2017, implementing offensive strategies that have produced multiple playoff runs and two Super Bowl victories.

Recent roster activity includes the trade acquisition of wide receiver Tutu Atwell from Seattle in August 2026. This move added depth to the receiving corps without directly addressing potential suspension concerns regarding Puka Nacua. The franchise originated as the Cleveland Rams in 1936 but struggled financially during the Great Depression era. Owner Dan Reeves moved the team to Los Angeles in 1946, where they joined the All-America Football Conference before merging with the NFL in 1950. The team played at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum for decades, establishing itself as a cornerstone of West Coast sports.

In 1995, ownership relocated the club to St. Louis, where they became known as the St. Louis Rams. This era featured the Greatest Show on Turf offense led by Kurt Warner, Marshall Faulk, Isaac Bruce, and Torry Holt. The unit set numerous scoring records and won Super Bowl XXXIV following the 1999 season.

Financial pressures and stadium issues prompted a return to Los Angeles in 2016. The team temporarily played at Angel Stadium of Anaheim and the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum while SoFi Stadium was under construction. They secured their second championship in Super Bowl LVI during the 2021 season by defeating the Cincinnati Bengals at home. [edit]
