Lisa Salters

A Sports Emmy for outstanding personality and reporter is the credential that separates Salters from the crowd of sideline reporters. It is voted on by people who do the job, and it recognized a body of work rather than a single broadcast. Add the Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame honor and you have a career validated both by her industry and by the city that raised her.Her rarer distinction is institutional: a Pro Football Hall of Fame voter's seat, held by only a small group of selectors who decide who gets a bronze bust in Canton. She held that vote until a September 2026 rule change removed her and Tony Dungy from the panel. Whatever the merits of the change, the credential itself marked her as one of the most trusted voices covering the sport.
