Limp Bizkit is an American nu metal band from Jacksonville, Florida. Its lineup consists of lead vocalist Fred Durst, drummer John Otto, guitarist Wes Borland, and turntablist DJ Lethal. The band's musical style is marked by Durst's angry vocal delivery and Borland's sonic experimentation. The band is one of the most successful nu metal bands of all time. It has been nominated for three Grammy Awards, sold 40 million records worldwide, and won several other awards.

Formed in 1994 by Durst and Sam Rivers, the band was soon joined by John Otto and later Wes Borland. Following the release of their fourth album Results May Vary (2003), Borland rejoined the band and recorded the EP The Unquestionable Truth (Part 1) (2005) with Durst, Rivers, Lethal, and drummer Sammy Siegler before entering a hiatus. In 2009, the band once again reunited with Borland playing guitar and began touring, culminating with the recording of the album Gold Cobra (2011), after which it left Interscope and later signed with Cash Money Records; DJ Lethal quit the band soon afterward, returning in 2018. After years of teasing an album tentatively titled Stampede of the Disco Elephants, the band released its sixth studio album Still Sucks on October 31, 2021. Founding bassist Rivers, who was also responsible for recruiting Otto into the band, died on October 18, 2025.

The band has released 26 singles. Their most notable singles include "Nookie", "Re-Arranged", "Break Stuff", "Take a Look Around", "Rollin' (Air Raid Vehicle)", "My Generation", "My Way", "Eat You Alive", and their cover of The Who's 1971 single "Behind Blue Eyes"; all of these have charted within the top 20 of the US Alternative Airplay Chart. Limp Bizkit's story starts in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1994. Fred Durst was working as a tattoo artist and had a passion for music. He met Sam Rivers, a bassist who shared his vision. The two clicked instantly, and Durst recruited John Otto, Rivers' cousin, to play drums. Otto was a jazz-influenced drummer who had studied at the University of North Florida. The trio started jamming in a garage, blending hip-hop beats with heavy guitar riffs.

Wes Borland joined the band shortly after the demo. Borland was a visual artist as much as a guitarist. He wore face paint and outlandish costumes on stage, which gave Limp Bizkit a distinctive look. DJ Lethal, formerly of the hip-hop group House of Pain, came aboard to handle turntables and samples. With the lineup complete, they signed to Flip Records, an imprint distributed by Interscope.

Their debut album, Three Dollar Bill, Y'all, dropped in 1997. It was a raw, aggressive record that didn't sell much initially. But the band's live shows were another story. Durst's stage presence, Borland's theatrics, and the crowd's moshing made headlines. They caught a break when Korn invited them to open on their 1998 tour. That exposure helped their cover of George Michael's "Faith" become a hit, and the album eventually went platinum.
