Lim Ji-min is a South Korean singer and lyricist under Bluedot Entertainment, best known as the leader of the boy group JUST B, which he has guided since its 2021 debut while continuing to write lyrics for the group's music. He is also a member of the project group The CrewOne, launched in 2024. Admired for his sharp dance skills, warm leadership, and close friendships with other K-pop idols, he has built a reputation as one of the steady hands of his idol generation. [edit]

Lim Ji-min was born on May 22, 2001, in Gimhae, Gyeongsangnam-do, South Korea, where he spent his formative years. He grew up in his hometown alongside his parents and a younger brother, in a setting that would eventually nurture his artistic ambitions. His early education included attending Bunseong Middle School. It was during these nascent years that Lim Ji-min's profound interest in dance first emerged, sparking a lifelong passion that he dedicated himself to developing.

His commitment to dance became more concrete in January 2017, when he began formal training. This period marked a significant step in his journey as he honed his skills and prepared for a professional career in performance. Further solidifying his path, he later enrolled in Seoul Performing Arts High School, where he specialized in Practical Dance, dedicating his high school years to intensive, specialized training in his chosen art form. Lim Ji-min's diligent efforts laid the groundwork for his future endeavors in the entertainment industry.

In 2019, Lim Ji-min took a pivotal leap, making his first major step towards public recognition by participating in SBS's highly competitive survival show, "The Fan." Throughout the program, he showcased his burgeoning talent and captivating stage presence. His performances, particularly a memorable rendition of BTS's "Blood Sweat & Tears," garnered widespread attention. His sharp dance skills and artistry earned him significant praise, including a notable commendation from none other than BTS member Park Ji-min (Jimin of BTS) himself. Lim Ji-min's remarkable journey on the show culminated in a third-place finish, a testament to his undeniable talent and growing appeal. This impressive showing directly paved the way for his solo debut later that same year, when he released the single "Loveholic," officially marking his entry into the K-pop music scene as a promising new artist. [edit]

Lim Ji-min made his solo debut on May 9, 2019, with the single "Loveholic." On May 24, 2021, he was revealed as the second member of JUST B, and he debuted as the group's leader on June 30, 2021, with the mini-album "Just Burn." The group has since released multiple EPs and singles. In 2024, he expanded his activities by debuting with the project group The CrewOne, a collaboration between JUST B and ATBO, on July 30, 2024. He continues to promote with both groups and has expressed a desire to win a rookie award and a solo award in the future. [edit]

The community surrounding Lim Ji-min has grown steadily alongside his tenure as the leader of JUST B, yet a formalized name for this dedicated audience remains undocumented in available records. Fans connect through Weverse and share behind-the-scenes glimpses, but without an official moniker to rally around, the group's supporters operate under the collective identity of the fandom rather than a specific title. This lack of a branded name does not diminish their engagement; they have been present since the group's 2021 debut, cheering from the sidelines as Ji-min guided his members through their early years and into international stages like the Miami Beach Bandshell in March 2024. While some idols cultivate distinct fan rituals or viral campaigns, the documented history for Ji-min focuses more on his personal interactions with fellow idols and his role within the group dynamic rather than organized fan-led initiatives. In the broader landscape of global celebrity, iFANN's Global Fame Engine has evaluated Lim Ji-min's current standing. The evaluation indicates that he is currently unranked in the published Global Top 1,000 or any Top-100 scope list. This status reflects a position where he has been assessed by the system but does not yet hold a specific placement among the world's most famous individuals. His presence is noted within the K-pop sphere, particularly as a steady hand for his generation, but the data suggests he has not yet crossed the threshold required for a numerical ranking in the global index. Despite this, his work as a lyricist and performer continues to build a foundation that may shift these metrics in future evaluations.[edit]

Before joining JUST B, he appeared on the show "The Fan" alongside ITZY's Yeji; although they did not become friends during the filming, he has publicly supported her debut since then. His personality type is ESFJ-T, and he holds blood type B. Among the stories shared by those who follow his career, one notable chapter involves a hiatus taken to focus on recovering from psychological anxiety. This period was marked by a pause in all schedules, highlighting the personal challenges faced even by top-tier performers. Another moment often discussed involves his supportive role as leader when member Bain came out during a concert, becoming the first idol to do so according to reports. As the group's leader, Ji-min stood by his members during this historic event.
