Lil' Kim is a Grammy-winning artist who shattered barriers for women in hip-hop. Her debut album Hard Core made her the first female rapper with three consecutive number-one singles on Billboard's Rap Songs chart. She is one of only a few female rappers to achieve three consecutive platinum albums. Kim's 2005 album The Naked Truth was the first by a female hip-hop artist to receive a five-mic rating from The Source. She has sold over 45 million records worldwide, ranking as the second best-selling female rapper ever. Her influence extends beyond music, her "Money Nails" design was exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art, and she has been honored by the New York City Council for her contributions to hip-hop.
