Leonardo Balerdi

Balerdi's record is still being written, and the standout entry so far is the October 2026 brace at Napoli, a substitute's performance that rescued a 3-3 draw and kept Roma unbeaten in Serie A. It is the kind of moment that defines a loan spell and forces a club to think about making the move permanent. His broader career includes a Boca Juniors first-team debut at 19, captaining Argentina at the 2018 South American U-20 Championship, and a run as a Ligue 1 regular at Marseille. Individual silverware has yet to follow, but at 27 he is in the years when a centre-back's best football typically arrives.
