Lee Zeldin's political career includes several notable achievements. As a state senator, he reduced middle-income tax rates to their lowest level in 60 years and co-sponsored the nation's strongest property tax cap. In the 2022 gubernatorial race, he garnered the most votes for a Republican candidate statewide since Nelson Rockefeller over 50 years earlier. His strong performance helped flip four House seats red, contributing to the GOP's narrow majority. As EPA Administrator, he has pursued what the agency calls the largest deregulatory effort in American history, while also achieving operational savings of roughly $30 billion.
