Latto's rise has been marked by historic achievements for a Southern female rapper. She became the first woman to win Song of the Year at the BET Hip Hop Awards with 'Big Energy' in 2022. That same year she was named Variety's Breakthrough Artist of the Year. Her guest spot on Jung Kook's 'Seven' gave her a number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, a milestone that few female rappers have reached. She has been recognized by the XXL Freshman Class, Forbes 30 Under 30, and MTV as a global push artist. Her two BET Awards and a Billboard Music Award place her among the most awarded young rappers in the industry.
