Larry Holmes is widely regarded as one of the greatest heavyweights of all time. His 48-0 start remains one of the longest undefeated streaks in heavyweight history, and he is the only man to stop Muhammad Ali. Holmes held a world title for seven consecutive years and defeated a who's who of 1970s and 1980s heavyweights. His left jab is studied by boxing historians as a model of technical excellence. In 2008, he was enshrined in the International Boxing Hall of Fame, cementing his place among the sport's immortals.
