Lang Ping's list of accolades is a testament to her extraordinary impact on volleyball. As a player, she was the driving force behind China's first Olympic gold in 1984, earning MVP honors. As a coach, she achieved the unprecedented feat of winning Olympic gold with two different national teams, first with the U.S. in 2008 (silver) and then with China in 2016 (gold). Her 2025 IOC Coaches Lifetime Achievement Award and Hall of Fame induction recognize her as one of the greatest coaches in the history of the sport.
