As of late 2026, he remains a cornerstone of the Ravens defense and holds the distinction of being the highest-paid safety in NFL history.

His rise from a standout high school athlete in Georgia to a first-round draft pick happened quickly. After earning consensus All-American honors at the University of Notre Dame in 2021, Hamilton was selected seventh overall by Baltimore. He has since established himself as a two-time Pro Bowl selection and a First-Team All-Pro, anchoring a secondary that consistently ranks among the league's best. [edit]

Kyle Hamilton grew up in Gainesville, Georgia, where he attended Gainesville High School. Born in Columbus, Georgia, he developed his athletic foundation during these formative years. This dual-threat capability caught the eye of college scouts early on, who noted his rare combination of size, speed, and coverage skills.

Hamilton chose to play college football for the University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish, joining the program in 2019. He quickly became a starter and a focal point of their defense.
