Krzysztof Wielicki's achievements are nothing short of historic. He is the first person to climb three eight-thousanders in winter, a feat that has never been equaled. He is the fifth person to summit all fourteen peaks without supplemental oxygen, a measure of his extraordinary endurance. His winter ascents of Everest, Lhotse, and Kangchenjunga remain unmatched, and his 2019 Piolet d'Or Lifetime Achievement Award places him among the all-time greats of alpinism.
