Kris Statlander

Kris Statlander is an American professional wrestler and stuntwoman. She is best known for her work in All Elite Wrestling, where she made history as the first woman to hold both the AEW Women's World Championship and the AEW TBS Championship. Her alien-themed persona, high-energy style, and resilience after a serious knee injury have made her a fan favorite. As of 2026, she also holds the Pro-Wrestling: EVE International Championship and continues to be a top contender in AEW's women's division.[edit]

Statlander was born on August 7, 1995, and grew up in West Islip on Long Island, New York. She played soccer and softball as a kid and was a standout softball player at West Islip High School. After high school, she attended Nassau Community College before transferring to the University of Alabama, where she played softball for the Crimson Tide. A serious knee injury ended her collegiate softball career, but it pushed her to pursue professional wrestling full-time. She trained at the Create A Pro Wrestling Academy in Hicksville, New York, under Brian Myers and Pat Buck. She wrestled on the independent circuit as Kris Stadtlander before signing with AEW in late 2019 after impressing at a tryout. Her interest in wrestling began in childhood, watching WWE with her father.[edit]

Statlander made her AEW debut on November 13, 2019, defeating Shanna on Dynamite. She quickly joined the Best Friends stable and challenged for the AEW Women's World Championship at Revolution in February 2020, losing to Nyla Rose. A torn ACL in July 2020 sidelined her for months, but she returned in May 2021. In November 2022, she won the AEW TBS Championship at Full Gear, ending Jade Cargill's 508-day undefeated streak and 60-match winning streak. She held the title until May 2023. On January 17, 2024, she won the AEW Women's World Championship by defeating Toni Storm at Dynamite: Homecoming, holding it for 174 days before losing to Serena Deeb. In August 2024, she won the Pro-Wrestling: EVE International Championship, which she still holds as of 2026. She has also participated in the 2026 AEW Women's World Championship tournament.[edit]

Statlander's wrestling persona is an alien character with green-tinted skin, antennae, and spaceship-themed entrance gear. She wears green and black ring gear with alien motifs. Her character is quirky, energetic, and slightly eccentric. Fans often chant her name and do a wave motion during her entrance. Media outlets describe her as a hardworking, underrated wrestler who overcame major injuries. On social media, she is humorous and self-deprecating, frequently interacting with fans. She has approximately 150,000–200,000 Instagram followers and 100,000–150,000 Twitter followers as of mid-2026.[edit]

Kris Statlander's support base is a unique blend of regional pride and genuine appreciation for her underdog narrative, particularly among fans in New York who rally behind her "Long Island Killer" moniker. Unlike wrestlers with branded fan clubs, her following is an organic sub-community within the broader AEW audience, united by her emotional vulnerability and resilience. This connection is most visible in digital spaces where supporters champion her promo evolution and defend her status as a top-tier competitor, often citing her tearful post-match promos as defining moments of her career. The community also curates deep-dive content, such as dedicated shrine websites that catalog her statistics and finishers, reflecting a level of obsessive fandom that transcends casual viewing. While no official name exists for this collective, their engagement drives viral discussions on social media and local news coverage during events held near her hometown. Despite her high profile in wrestling circles, iFANN's Global Fame Engine has evaluated Kris Statlander but she does not currently hold a placement in the published rankings, meaning she is not listed among the Global Top 1,000 or any specific Top-100 scope list.[edit]

Her ring name cleverly combines her first name with 'Statue,' referencing her background as a collegiate softball player at Alabama before a knee injury ended that athletic path. Trained at Create A Pro under Brian Myers and Pat Buck, she leverages her gymnastics background and stuntwoman skills to deliver high-impact performances, including her signature spinning piledriver known as the Statlander Driver. Standing 5 feet 8 inches tall, she draws inspiration from horror movies for her eccentric alien persona, which features green-tinted skin and antennae. Fans have turned her rapid ascent into modern folklore, retelling the story of her "weird" rise to the AEW Women's World Championship as a central pillar of her legend. Another iconic chapter involves her emotional aftermath following a brutal Blood & Guts match in February 2026, where her tearful promo cemented her reputation as a fighter who gives everything. Her rivalry with Thekla at Revolution 2026 further added to the lore, showcasing her ability to carry major championship storylines while maintaining her authentic connection to her roots.[edit]

Statlander grew up on Long Island with her parents, whom she is close with. She has not publicly shared their names or details about siblings. She currently lives in the United States and keeps her family life private. She has a pet dog named Moxley, after Jon Moxley.[edit]

Statlander is associated with the Best Friends stable, including Orange Cassidy, Trent Beretta, and Chuck Taylor. She trained under Brian Myers and Pat Buck. Her notable rivals include Jade Cargill, Toni Storm, Serena Deeb, and Mercedes Martinez.[edit]

Statlander was in a relationship with fellow AEW wrestler Orange Cassidy from around 2020 to 2023. The two were part of the Best Friends stable and were publicly seen together, but the relationship ended amicably. In late 2024, rumors surfaced that she was dating Kyle O'Reilly, but neither confirmed it, and the rumored relationship ended in early 2025. As of 2026, Statlander is single and has no known children.[edit]

Per iFANN's editorial analysis, Kris Statlander's net worth is estimated at $1 Million as of 2026. Her financial standing is built on a foundation of her AEW salary, which ranges between $100,000 and $200,000 annually, supplemented by pay-per-view bonuses varying from $10,000 to $50,000 per event. Additional revenue streams include merchandise sales, appearances with Pro-Wrestling: EVE, occasional stunt work for film and television, limited endorsements, and sponsored social media posts. This wealth has accumulated steadily since her debut in 2019, with significant increases driven by her championship victories and growing prominence in the women's division.[edit]

Statlander has won three championships: the AEW Women's World Championship once, the AEW TBS Championship once, and the Pro-Wrestling: EVE International Championship once. She is the first woman to hold both AEW women's singles titles. She has not won any industry-specific awards from major ceremonies.[edit]
