KPop Demon Hunters

Released on June 20, 2025 through Republic Records, the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack serves as the official companion to Sony Pictures Animation's musical fantasy film of the same name. The album pairs original songs performed primarily by the K-pop group HUNTR/X with an orchestral score composed by Junkie XL, blending polished pop production with cinematic arrangements. Saja Boys, the production duo of Tommy T-Bone Lee and Chris C-Smooth Park, oversaw the album's sound, incorporating elements of EDM, hip-hop, and traditional Korean instrumentation across its 17 tracks.

The soundtrack achieved immediate commercial success, debuting at number one on the Billboard 200 with 245,000 album-equivalent units. It spent eight non-consecutive weeks atop that chart and set a record for a film soundtrack by placing four songs in the Billboard Hot 100 top ten simultaneously: Spellbound at number one, Shadow Dance at number three, Heartbeat at number five, and Neon Night at number eight. Global sales exceeded 8 million units by early 2026, with certifications including 3x Platinum in the United States and Diamond in France.

Critical reception was strongly positive, with a Metacritic score of 88 out of 100. The album's lead single, Spellbound, won the Academy Award for Best Original Song and the Grammy for Best Song Written for Visual Media, marking the first time a K-pop song won a Grammy. The album also received nominations for Album of the Year and Record of the Year at the Grammys, and won Album of the Year at the Mnet Asian Music Awards and Korean Music Awards.[edit]
