Koshi Inaba's career is defined by record-breaking numbers and historic firsts. As the vocalist and lyricist of B'z, he holds Guinness World Records for most number-one singles (48) and most number-one albums (27) by a duo. In 2023, B'z were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, receiving the Musical Excellence Award, a rare honor for a Japanese act. Individually, Inaba has earned six Japan Gold Disc Awards for his solo albums, all of which debuted at number one on the Oricon charts. Rolling Stone Japan ranked him the greatest Japanese rock vocalist of all time in 2020.
