Konstantinos Koulierakis

Koulierakis does not have a trophy cabinet to point at yet, and that is fine at 22. What he does have is a set of markers that scouts notice. A senior Greece debut at 18. Twenty-two caps before his 22nd birthday. A Bundesliga apprenticeship at Wolfsburg. And then a 16.5 million euro move to Roma, a club that does not spend that kind of money on defenders it expects to sit on the bench. The fee itself is the accolade: it is the market's judgment on a player still years from his peak.
