Records
Koneru Humpy's list of achievements is nothing short of extraordinary. She was the youngest woman to become a Grandmaster, a record that stood for six years. She is one of only three women in history to cross the 2600 Elo rating barrier. Her two World Rapid Championship titles place her among the elite of women's chess. Humpy has also been a consistent medal winner for India, with gold at the Chess Olympiad and the Asian Games. Her contributions to the sport have been recognized with the Padma Shri and the Arjuna Award, making her one of the most decorated chess players in the country.
