Set in the bustling downtown streets of Tokyo, this long-running manga follows the chaotic daily life at a small neighborhood police box. The story centers on Kankichi Ryotsu, a middle-aged officer known for his short temper and endless schemes to get rich quick without actually working. His antics often spiral into absurd situations involving local merchants, yakuza, and bizarre inventions, all while he tries to keep his job despite constant trouble. Created by Osamu Akimoto, the series ran for four decades in Weekly Shōnen Jump from September 1976 until September 2016.
